Red Charlotte Review and Giveaway + Discount

If you follow me on Instagram, then you’ve gotten a pretty good idea how much I love carrying Monkey. It’s such a convenient way to go about my day, and Monkey loves it. I carry him on walks, around the house to do chores, when I go shopping, etc. If he’s REALLY pooped, I can still get him to fall asleep in the carrier, (it used to be a guaranteed way to put him to sleep), but he’s usually too distracted with the world around him to even think about closing his eyes!  The problem, though, is that he is teething like crazy, and with teething comes chewing. Chewing on everything. And I mean everything….my arm, my clothes, and yes… the baby carrier.

Currently, I mostly wear Monkey in the Ergo carrier since as of right now it’s the only soft-sided one I have. It’s very easy to get on and he loves it. The thing is, Monkey was always chewing on the straps, and I could already see they were starting to wear down. They were getting a bit faded and worn. Overtime, I could see this affecting the functionality of the carrier, as well as the resale value should I choose to sell it down the line.

Enter Red Charlotte. Red Charlotte is an Etsy store featuring baby carrier accessories. When owner Paige saw me posting pictures of me carrying Monkey on my Instagram feed, she graciously offered up a pair of her popular Sucking Pads for me to review. Sucking Pads fit over the Ergo (or any other soft sided carrier) and allow for a safe surface for baby to chew to his or her heart’s content. They go on easy with a simple velcro closure. I can easily slide them back and forth depending on if I’m wearing Monkey in the front, on my hip, or on my back. Best of all…they protect the carrier! Paige offers them in a variety of patterns, and you even have the choice to add some ribbon loops for attaching toys, binkies, etc.

I love bright colors, so I chose a fun print and added the ribbon loops. We’ve had the Sucking Pads attached to the carrier ever since receiving them in the mail and Monkey has been thrilled. He is constantly chewing on them and he also loves when I attach some toys for him to play with. What a genius invention! And bonus…they’re freakin’ cute, right!?

In addition to SuckingPads, Red Charlotte offers the original Stuff Sack (for carrying your baby carrier), the adorable Doll Carrier (so your child can carry his or her baby too), and more! I love that most of Red Charlotte’s products come in an organic option as well. As a sidenote, Paige donates a portion of all sales to Saving Tiny Hearts and Children’s Heart Foundation to benefit congenital heart defects (CHD) – this speaks huge in my book.

Do you love Red Charlotte as much as I do…are you interested in purchasing one of her awesome baby carrier accessories? I think I’d put it toward a baby carrier stuff sack (in Sparrows in Lilac print). :-)

  3. Very cute colors indeed! I didn’t know there’s also a variety of baby carrier accessories. What material is this sucking pad made from?
