I’ve talked many times in the past about my love for Etsy and all that it has to offer. I just love the ability to find handmade items by moms and other entrepreneurs. Not only that, but you can find some great organic and healthy items, too! Moody Sisters is an organic skincare line that I recently discovered, and I am very excited to share a little about their products with you. I was especially interested in Moody Sisters’ products because they cater to those with sensitive and troubled skin (ME!) Hello, acne prone skin!

Moody Sisters began when the younger sister Whitney, was unable to use store bought deodorant and skincare. The rashes, extreme allergic reactions and emergency room visits that would follow washing her face or applying deodorant prompted her to consult her essential oil guru sister, Jess. Together the two started creating organic deodorants, lotions and cleansers for their own use until they perfected their recipes and decided to share them with others looking for safe alternatives for skin and body care.

I was given the chance to try out the body wash from Moody Sisters in one of their new scents (Mandarin Forest) along with their lip balm (in clean citrus). I got the husband to try the lip balm first, and he commented at how smoothly it went on! So, I quickly tried it myself and OHMYGOSH it’s great. In fact, it was my lipbalm of choice to bring with me to BlogHer (where I am currently chillin’ in my hotel room as I write this review.) Want proof? I just took this pic, see:

Anyway, back to the review. I am also loving the body wash. Right on the bottle, Moody Sisters says that it can also be used on the face. I had just run out of my face wash, so I decided to give it a whirl. Well, I’ve been using it on my face every day since…and this was over a week ago now. I love it. It’s gentle, yet extremely cleansing. I get that fresh and clean feeling, without my face feeling overly dry as a result. I’ve used it as a body wash too (and it’s great), but I’m loving it as a face wash right now! With great ingredients like castile soap, vitamin E and tea tree oil, It can also be used as a shaving cream.

Moody Sisters also offers tons of other great organic skincare. Things like deodorant, eye cream, dry shampoo, and even bug repellent! I am loving the variety. Seriously…there is so much I want to buy and try out. Best of all, not only is everything free of chemicals and preservatives, but it is vegan and organic, too.
