Ergobaby Carrier Review and Giveaway (ENDED)
It’s been a while since I’ve hosted a review (or giveaway!), so I’m really excited to be bringing this one to the blog. Way before I got pregnant, even before I started blogging…probably way back in the beginning stages of my venture into eco-friendly living, I heard about the Ergobaby Carrier and how great it was. I knew that when we eventually decided to have children, I would have to get one of these awesome contraptions. Oh and I also want to mention that Ergobaby is family owned and operated (always a plus in my book!)
I’ve talked about baby wearing before, and I’m sure I’ll talk about it in the future…but it’s something that I plan to do quite often with little Baby Crunchy. I truly believe that it strengthens the bond between parent and child, and of course it’s super convenient!
There are a wide variety of baby carriers out there, but Ergobaby features a soft-structured baby carrier that can be used through all stages of baby’s growth. The Ergo is designed so that you can wear your baby for hours on end with comfort all while allowing for mom or dad to remain active and productive! The carrier is made to support a natural sitting position so that there is no compression of the spine or hips.
Ergobaby offers a few different varieties of carriers all with a variety of color options:
- Performance Ergobaby Carrier – The Performance carrier is made of a very lightweight, breathable material and specially designed for active parents. This carrier is great for outdoor sports and activities!
- Sport Ergobaby Carrier – This baby carrier is made of a more breathable fabric and also features straps that can extend an extra 4 inches to allow a better fit for parents of all sizes.
- Original Ergobaby Carrier – This is the original Ergobaby Carrier featuring their awesome ergonomic design and is so strong it’s been tested for up to 90 pounds!
- Organic Ergobaby Carrier - This is the same durable carrier as the Original, but features Organic Cotton.
- Ergobaby Options Carrier – Can’t choose just one color/design for your Ergo? Well, the Options carrier allows you to change the look of your carrier with various cover choices that you can change out whenever you want!

Now, I happened to be super lucky a little over a year ago and won my very own Organic Ergobaby Carrier from another blog Giveaway. Even though I didn’t have a child at the time I won the carrier, I immediately knew how awesome it was just by the look and feel…I could tell it was a quality carrier. I tried out my stuffed bear in the carrier, and even put my dog in it! It’s amazingly durable and extremely comfortable to wear. It fits both The Crunchy Husband and myself very well! And, just to let you know, I’m 5′ 1″ and he’s 6′ 3″! I love love love the carrier and can’t wait to put it to use when Baby Crunchy comes along. *I do want to note that Ergobaby states that if your child is 4 months or younger, you need to purchase their infant insert as well for added support.

The longer waistband means hubby can use it! I am hoping to win so that my husband will have a carrier he can use. He has a bracial plexus injury and only has the use of one arm, but I think this would be a great carrier for him! So supportive!
